Boarding

We have a total of 16 acres with several (1/2+ acre) dry lots and two nice pastures seeded with fescue and perennial rye grass to suit your horses individual needs. Owner lives on site and can see all pastures and dry lots from the house. We also offer vet and farrier scheduling as a convenience to our boarders.

I keep a maximum of only 10 horses on the property to insure adaquate grass and small group turnout. You will never have to walk through knee high mud and fight off 20 horses to get your horse at Abernathy Farm!

Pasture board is priced at $250 per month and includes:

• 24/7 turnout in small groups (between 2 and 5 horses)

• high quality grain (Ledgend's Performance textured but can individualize if you prefer a different feed) 

• Owner provided suppliments fed at no extra charge

• rotational de-worming every 8 weeks

• quality hay provided at no extra charge

• blanketing as conditions warrant in the winter

• Feed-thru Fly Control in the summer at no extra charge

• Safe fencing with no barbwire

 For the rider we offer:

• 100x100 lighted riding arena

• 60 foot round pen with sand footing

• Practice barrels

• Schooling jumps from 18 inches to 4 feet tall

• 2 outdoor wash stalls with drainage and mats

• On site trainer available to help with any trouble areas (outside trainers are welcomed to visit too)

Abernathy Farm also offers an additional discount for 2 or more horses. If you board 2 or more horses your board rate is only $200 per month per horse!

Abernathy Farm also supports organic gardening. We rake the manure and wasted hay from our dry lots and turn it into compost. We plant a large garden from March until August and share home grown veggies with our friends, family, and boarders.
