We teach riders how to become horseman and work on all areas of horsemanship. You will learn parts of the saddle and the anatomy of the horse, and the day to day care of owning a horse. Students will learn every thing from flyspray to bathing to hoof care. The goal of this is to teach riders how to successfully care for their own horse and make sure they are receiving the best care.

We also offer ground work and round penning lessons. This is helpful for people who may already own their own horse, but need help building a respectful relationship with them. Abernathy Farm can help you retrain horses that are disrespectful, pushy on the ground, walk off while mounting, that are difficult to trailer load, clip, bathe, or de-worm. I will teach you how to effectively communicate with your horse in a consistent manner which will achieve results. I use principles from both Natural and Classical horsemanship.
